Founded in the mid 1930s by a small group of dinghy enthusiasts, West Hoe Sailing Club is one of the most famous sailing clubs in the port of Plymouth. The club has a long and successful history of involvement in small boat racing and over the years members have won many dinghy and small keelboat national and major regatta titles.

West Hoe Sailing Club operates from the Royal Plymouth Corinthian Yacht Club overlooking Plymouth Sound and organises racing for the National Squib Class on Thursday evenings from early April to the end of September.
